Berlin Update

Well here I'am sitting in this strange lazer tag course looking Hostel gathering up some final clips. It was a fun 5 days in Germany and right off the bat let me mention that the Beer here is absolutely amazing. Hands down probably the best beer in the world. The spots here are pretty sick, but the ground in most places is a lot like the east coast... rough, rugged and gnar. So anyway here is a video update from Berlin, watch me as I try to chug a 10% Litre of Faxe. This will more than likely be the only update, I need to pack my shit and get ready to head back to Canada and hit up the Hostel bar for one last hooraah. Later

Barcelona Update Numero Tres

Well the Barcelona trip has come to an end. Things whined down a bit around the end and we just got a bit lazy and drank a lot. As bummed as I am having to go back to Canada, I'm looking forward to skating and filming this summer with a head start to the season to remember forever. Everything from skating with Mikey Taylor, having a beer with Tom Penny and seeing some of the most mind blowing scenery you could ever imagine. The spots are beyond perfect, the food is excellent, the night life is awesome and the women are beautiful.

Barcelona trip next march... anyone?

Barcelona Update El Numero Dos

Well this trip has been going by way too fast. Dan and the rest of the Halifax crew Ben, Josh, Dratwa, Jake and Plumber all head back to the east coast. Bummer. But me and the Calgarians are still here for another 11 days before we head to Berlin, so lots more beer, good food and skating to go! So here's update #2 with some skating by Kareck Reid, Glen Podiluk, Colton Huber, Dan Cameron, Kevin MacDonald and Jed Anderson. Adios amigos

Barcelona Update

It's been a pretty crazy first week in Barcelona. Lot's of skating, cheap beer and late nights and also lots of filming. I've been meeting up with Dan and some Halifax dudes (Ben Niccol, Kris Dratwa, Josh Gallant, Jake Parker and Kevin Macdonald) along with Calgary homies I travelled here with. It's been pretty exciting seeing lots of things and some of the most mind blowing spots ever. So anyway here's a video update with some skating by Ben Niccol, Dan Cameron, Jed Anderson, Colton Huber, Dylan Homer and Glen Podiluk.

Smokey!

So you may or may not have heard that Ski Cape Smokey is open again. We took off for the weekend to see what it was all about. Lots of snow and lots of hiking to get at it! The part of the hill that is accessible by the lift is still great and the snow conditions are awesome. Anyway here are some crappy phone photos from our adventure. Next time we promise real photos!

Attack Wentworth

Another Wentworth mission took place this weekend. Lots of snow lots of rad & even got to ride a perfectly groomed stunt ditch in the eve (halfpipe for you young whippersnappers) when we werent riding threw the trees! Thats what it is all about folks & we are having a great year thus far for it! We even got asked if we were olympians (the special ones)

Here is the only photographic evidence we have from the weekend. Not much but I think it is better left that way.

I didnt think these still existed, but sure enough.. Powder!
Not just any old snow either this stuff is light. real light. The kinda snow that keeps getting your in trouble from being out of bounds. Or in my case way off the beaten path.

Hard to tell by looking at this picture but this line is steep & thats a solid 20 foot cliff with a nice exit line... little flat but look at all that snow

Another Trip

and mother nature is kicking our butt again....
Anyway we are off to Montreal at 3:00am to meet up with some reps, check out some boards and most importantly ride some light pow! Something almost all but extinct here in our climate.

Anyway long storey short, mother nature slaps us with -30 to -40 daily temps.... BEFORE wind chills
Lead to a weekend / week of lots of refreshments & Montreal hospitality

Winging it

Flying from the east coast of canada to mammoth lakes CA was the mission for this weekend. Looking for the white stuff we have yet to see fly.... until the day of my flight of corse. Huge Nor-easter leaves me grounded in Halifax at 8 in the morning. Knowing I didn't have a chance in hell at getting to Cali in time for the 32 Boot Camp I headed straight to Wentworth Vally. Pretty much the best east coast pow day I had to date. 30cm of the fresh stuff over a solid waist deep base and tree lines for days. Meet up with Sam Rodgers and stayed in the Vally for the night to find freshies again all day Friday. It wasn't Mammoth but the conditions in Wentworth Vally are the best in Nova Scotia right now!

WALK ON FACE: Wentworth Opening Day

Catch you guys next time!

First Day @ Wentworth

Some HORRIBLE hero footage from opening day at wentworth.
Not very often you catch a "pow" day here on the east coast, let alone on opening day. Only one run was open leaving the rest of the hill for the shredding for those who arnt afraid of some stumps!

Get to wentworth!
